This section contains notes for written paper of celestial navigation

– This paper is divided into 2 parts:- Part A & Part B

     Part-A is principle navigation & Part-B is practical navigation 

– In Part-A, you have to attempt any 2 out of 3 question, each of 30 Marks   

– In Part-B, Question 4 is compulsory i.e. STAGGERED CALCULATION & you have to attempt any 3 out of remaining 4 question, in which Q.5 is LONG BY CHRON SUN/MOON, Q.6 is INTERCEPT METHOD, Q.7 is COMPASS ERROR BY ABC TABLES &/OR ERROR BY AMPLITUDE &/OR TIMES OF RISING/ SETTING/ MERIDIAN PASSAGE / MERIDIAN ALTITUDE OF SUN, Q.8 is POLARIS / COMPUTATION OF ALTITUDE / EX-MERIDIAN.

  Each question carry 35 Marks.

– Total marks is 200 in which Pass marks is 140.
