This section contains notes for written paper of terrestrial & coastal navigation

– This paper is divided into 2 parts:- Part A & Part B

– In Part-A, Question 1 is compulsory i.e. PASSAGE PLANNING & you have to attempt any 2 out of remaining 3 question, in which Q.2, Q.3, Q.4 is of CHART WORK, each of 30 Marks  

– In Part-B, all questions are compulsory, in which Q.5 is DAYS WORK, Q.6 is GREAT CIRCLE/ PLANE/MERCATOR SAILING, Q.7 is TIDE CALCULATIONS, Q.8 is CHART CORRECTION /CHART SYMBOLS/OTHERS

  Each question carry 35 marks except Q.8 which is of 20 marks.

– Total marks is 200 in which Pass marks is 140
